On this easy/moderate hike through the Highlands Preserve, we will explore the Cooley Brook and surrounding wetlands while looking for the animals and plants that live there in the spring. We'll be discussing all things water, and talk about our local watershed, stream science, and the ecology of wetland habitats. We will move in class with a mix of effort and ease, and a mix of mind-directed and body-directed movement. This gives the body a chance to release from long-held patterns that keep us stiff, tired, and tense. We’ll also play with balance and coordination, ending class with some self-massage and/or deep relaxation.Connect: Connection is growing ever more important during these challenging times. No matter how good our physical health, without connection to the non-physical aspects of ourselves we lose touch with our heart and spirit. In this class, through various guided activities, we tune into and explore the parts of us that find meaning and purpose in our relationship with ourselves, life, and each other. Class instructor Gina Mongiello is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Myofascial Release Practitioner who has been studying the body/mind in depth for the last twelve years. These classes are quite fun - join us for one or both. All levels welcome. Must be able to get up and down easily from the floor. Bring an exercise mat or blanket and drinking water.Masks must be worn and 6 feet of social distancing must be adhered to before and after class begins.

If you're looking to get your child active in sports, we have the perfect program for you!Get swinging with The Passaic County Parks & Recreation Spring T-Ball program, instructed by US Sports Institute.This 6 week T-ball program is designed to introduce T-Ball to children with little or no experience in a fun, recreational environment.  The amazing coaches at US Sports Institute will spend time teaching your child the fundamentals of T-ball, in a fun, non-competitive, educational manner, with the goal of increasing their interest and skill level in the sport.When & Where: Thursdays @ Goffle Brook Park - Hawthorne, NJ (April 22 - May 27) Squirts @ 4PM & Squirts Sr. @ 6PMCost: $30 registration fee per childNote: This class is not a drop-off program.
