Strengthen and Stretch: Physical movement helps not just our physical state but our mental state too. We will move in class with a mix of effort and ease, and a mix of mind-directed and body-directed movement. This gives the body a chance to release from long-held patterns that keep us stiff, tired, and tense. We’ll also play with balance and coordination, ending class with some self-massage and/or deep relaxation.
Connect: Connection is growing ever more important during these challenging times. No matter how good our physical health, without connection to the non-physical aspects of ourselves we lose touch with our heart and spirit. In this class, through various guided activities, we tune into and explore the parts of us that find meaning and purpose in our relationship with ourselves, life, and each other.
Class instructor Gina Mongiello is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Myofascial Release Practitioner who has been studying the body/mind in depth for the last twelve years. These classes are quite fun - join us for one or both. All levels welcome. Must be able to get up and down easily from the floor. Bring an exercise mat or blanket and drinking water.Masks must be worn and 6 feet of social distancing must be adhered to before and after class begins.
