VIRTUAL College Application Series

Join Krista Sergi, Director of College Guidance at The Beekman School and Youth Recreation Leader at Camp Hope, for FREE seminars on tackling the college application process without stress. This series will help educate young people on everything from drafting a list and visiting schools to finishing the Common Application and FAFSA (federal student aid application). Teens and families are welcome. After registration, you will be sent a link for Webex.

Thursday, October 7th 6:30-8:30 pm: Intro to the college application process
Evening one will provide a break down of the different college applications as well as tips for connecting with colleges through virtual info sessions, interviews, and email.
 
Thursday, October 21st 6:30-8:30pm: A walk through the Common Application
During evening two, we will walk participants through completing the majority of the Common Application for college.
 
Thursday, November 18th 6:30-8:00pm: College Essay Writing
Evening three will help participants either draft or edit personal statements. Students may come with a full draft or a blank screen!

Thursday, December 2nd 6:30-8:00pm: Financial aid application night

This final evening will focus on completing the FAFSA (federal financial aid application) and lay the groundwork for completing the CSS Profile (private college financial aid application), which requires much of the same documentation.
