Come out and celebrate Independence Day weekend with a naturalist hike at Apshawa Preserve. We will meet at the main parking lot located at 4 Northwood Drive, West Milford, NJ. The distance for the hike will be approximately 3 - 4 miles and we will travel through woodland areas to the Butler Reservoir and back, discussing various aspects of the natural features that we might see from the trail. This is a moderate hike, which will entail some elevation gain and minor rock scrambling. Participants should wear sturdy hiking boots and bring sufficient water and snacks.
