Kids to Parks Day 2025! • Register • View Cart •

Kids to Parks Day is a national celebration that encourages kids and families to explore the outdoors, connect with nature, and enjoy healthy, active lifestyles. Held annually on the third Saturday of May, this event features fun activities like live music, guided hikes, arts and crafts, sports, games, and more. Join us in celebrating the great outdoors and creating lasting memories with your family!

This event is aimed towards children under the age of 7. 
Have your kids come in a fun costume to truly enjoy this fun children's event!

Activity Schedule: 

10:30 AM: Park Clean-Up: Join Rutgers 4-H Club of Passaic County for a clean-up walk around the Garret Mountain Reservation Boathouse.

11:30 AM - Miss Jolie Concert: Miss Jolie will bring her high-energy, interactive music to Kids to Parks Day, creating a fun and engaging experience for kids and families. With a unique twist on classic children’s songs and original tunes, she keeps everyone moving, singing, and laughing. Get ready for a lively performance where kids can clap, dance, stomp, and even hear their own names in the songs!

12:30 PM - Welcome Ceremony & Banner Decorating: Join the Passaic County Board of County Commissioners as they start the new tradition of decorating this year's Kids to Parks Day Banner! Then when you come back every year for Kids to Parks Day we'll hang up the past year's banner and you can find your name and remember the fun you had at Kids to Parks Day!

1:00 PM - Animal Olympics with Ranger Tim and Jennie: As part of Kids to Parks Day: join Ranger Tim and Jennie for Animal Olympics, a fun and interactive challenge where kids test their speed, strength, and agility—just like animals in the wild! See who can run fast like a cheetah, jump far like a kangaroo, or balance like a flamingo in this exciting outdoor adventure. Get ready to move, compete, and have a wild time!

2:00 PM - Mr. Kurt Concert: Mr. Kurt will be bringing his fun, interactive family music to Kids to Parks Day, delighting children with songs that get them moving, laughing, and singing along. With experience performing at schools, libraries, camps, and community events, his engaging style makes music an exciting adventure for kids of all ages. Don’t miss this energetic and entertaining performance that will add even more joy to a day of outdoor fun!

3:00 PM - Miss Jolie Bubble Show: Miss Jolie’s Bubble Show will add an extra layer of excitement to Kids to Parks Day with dazzling, interactive bubble fun! Kids will be mesmerized by giant bubbles, bubble tricks, and the chance to participate in the bubbly magic. Get ready for a whimsical experience filled with laughter, wonder, and endless bubble excitement!
